1986 - a Singapore-based Design Studio founded by Wong Teck Yong. At 1986 Design Studio, we planned, led and possessing a proven ability to ensure projected designs are functional, safe, economical and also to meet the needs of the client. 

1986 design with a social and ecological conscience, creating responsible projects. We welcome talents from across the world and share an inspiring vision with us. We believe that good design is bred through collaboration, and a mutual, constant build up on top of each other’s ideas.

ABOUT Founder

Teck Yong

Teck Yong practiced architecture and found his architectural niche in Singapore upon graduating with First Class Honours from an architecture school in year 2011. His practice philosophy is ‘to practice by inspiring, to learn by thinking’ and to foster interest in a collaborative strategy of research-based.

Having taught in architectural schools, Teck Yong’s passion as a Designer revolves around design studio, theoretical and historical studies. In addition to his working responsibility, Teck Yong has an excellent communication skill to keep in touch with clients to ensure the project designs match their needs and requirements.
